Madelyn (Maddy) Frumkin is a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the departments of Biomedical Data Science & Psychiatry within the Center for Technology and Behavioral Health in the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth College. Maddy received her PhD in Clinical Psychology from Washington University in St. Louis and completed a Clinical Fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. Her research focuses on leveraging technology to understand and treat mental and physical health problems. She is especially interested in identifying novel predictors of persistent pain, mental health problems, and/or substance use after injury or surgery, and developing personalized, digital interventions to improve mental and physical health outcomes. Her work has been supported by the National Institute of Mental Health, American Cancer Society, American Psychological Foundation, American Psychological Association, AO Spine North America, the Cervical Spine Research Society, the Scoliosis Research Society, the Foundation for Barnes-Jewish Hospital, and the Washington University/BJC Healthcare Big Ideas Competition. Maddy also practices clinically at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, where she provides evidence-based psychotherapy for mental and physical health problems.
